Entry #1

Hey you! First of all, WOW you found this blog, congratulations. Now that we have established my utter lack of self esteem, welcome to my blog!

Today is day one of this blog hence the title entry #1 (genius right?). This is a blog that is all about art. Well of course I will also be blabbering about my own journey with it. Let us hope that this space remains active for at least 21 days. 21 days is usually the number of days it takes for a habit to develop. If you didn't know that already, it is okaaayyyy not everyone wastes their days watching YouTube videos on productivity. 

Let's get started, shall we?

Teacup with no tea.

Now this is something I made a few nights ago around 10:30 pm, took 2 hours to complete. I know it isn't the best study of a teacup. Now we have also established that I am not a good artist, wow that took off a lot of pressure, phew!

Anyway I took this reference photo from somewhere on google, didn't save the photo so can not provide the link for it.

If I were to critique it, I know I could have done a much better job with the plate. It looks shabby and weird. But I absolutely love the light and shadow on this one.

Lotus not in a pond.

 I spent all of today working on this one lotus flower. I had made two other lotus yesterday but they looked like shit to be honest. So this is my failed attempt part three. So I asked my mother what this looked like. Her exact words were, "I think it is a flower which is made out of pistachios".

Now I tried convincing her that this is how a lotus in a pond looks like. It definitely looks like pistachios. But my mother, she is of an age where she finds rubbish falsities absolutely unbelievable.

Please don't be harsh on me, I know I am bad at it, but, at least I am honest about it.
